About Mansi

My Story: Pain to freedom

Mansi Maheta
There was a time in my early teenage years when movement became a source of pain instead of freedom. Diagnosed with spinal tuberculosis (L1–L5), I spent over a decade navigating chronic discomfort, pain, emotional turbulence, and a deep longing for healing. My body felt limited, and so did my spirit.
Years later, I turned to asana practice, gently reclaiming movement in a body that had known stillness and suffering for far too long. While yoga gave me some physical relief and a sense of freedom, I still found myself stuck in cycles of emotional stress and nervous system dysregulation.
It was during my academic journey in molecular neurobiology that I became captivated by the brain’s ability to change, what science calls neuroplasticity.
And one day I realised, that science and yoga both complements each other. What was missing before in yoga can be found in the science and vice versa.
Today, I am a Yoga Alliance Certified (625 Hrs) teacher trained in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Mindfulness Yoga, rooted deeply in the teachings of philosophy. My work integrates the precision of neurobiology with the wisdom of traditional yogic practices to enhance:
1. Nervous system regulation
2. Kinetic intelligence
3. Gut-brain axis healing
4. Somatic and emotional awareness
I strongly believe that individuals have the power to shape their brain’s function and structure through conscious effort, mindfulness, and self-awareness. I am grateful to help and guide individuals towards safety and healing.
A verse from the Bhagavad Gita continues to guide my work and life
“Uddhared atmanātmānaṁ, nātmānam avasādayet Ātmaiva hyātmano bandhur, ātmaiva ripur ātmanaḥ.”
“Let one uplift oneself through the power of one’s own mind. For the self is both the friend and the enemy of the self.”

How Did I end up here?

From a scientist to a teacher and a coach..
I get a lot of questions on how did I started teaching NeuroYoga in Berlin? Where do I come from?
I am born and raised in India. I come from a city in southern Gujarat, India.
I moved to Europe in 2015, for my Masters study and since then I have been around in scientific community as well as Yoga and vedanta circles.
My journey began in research labs, studying the intricate workings of the brain and body as a  molecular neurobiologist. Over time, that path led me to go deeper and train myself professionally in yoga, where I completed over 1000 hours of training in Ashtanga Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Mindfulness Yoga teacher, MBSR, NLP, etc., taught hundreds of students and developed an Science based integrated technique, Brain-Body Movement.
